Clinch cutters are heavy steel tools used to cut, lift, or straighten the nail clinches (the bent tips of horseshoe nails on the outside of the hoof wall). Removing these clinches is the critical first step before safely pulling an old horseshoe off without tearing up or damaging the hoof.
