This hammer is made of 4140 alloy steel and is hardened on the striking surfaces of the hammer. The body of the hammer is slightly softer, making it absorb some of the vibration caused when the hammer strikes another object. It is perfectly balanced, meaning it is the same weight on both sides of the hammer. This keeps the hammer from wanting to twist in your hand.
